The city is probably most famous for its thriving South Beach area is perhaps best known for its weird mix of starving artists, wannabe fashion models, Colombian drug lords, property magnets and the world's A-list celebrities.
Just a few miles north is Fort Lauderdale which offers a similar mix of cultures but in a far more subdued atmosphere of laid-back south Florida lifestyles. Shopping and fine dining are a major attraction as well as its beautiful white beach and the crashing rollers of the Atlantic Ocean.
Tampa is a large city located in the centre of the state on the east coast on the horseshoe shaped Tampa bay. Tampa is usually thought of as a combination of two cities Tampa and Saint Petersburg.
