Boston's Many Attractions
Boston is often seen as "the other" north Eastern American big city falling in the shadow of its bigger brother New York. This is a very unfair point of view as it denies the huge amount that this large and prosperous city as to offer visitors.
The Greater Boston area can offer a wide range of thrilling attractions for visitors of every age. First put on the world's mental map with the famous midnight Ride of Paul Revere and the even more influential rebellious act the Boston Tea Party, the city has gone on to become a major commercial centre and a magnet for American and international travelers.

For some this will pale into insignificance when compared to the fact that this is the home of the legendary bar featured in the long-running TV show Cheers. It is also home to baseball Legends the Boston Red Sox at their stadium Fenway Park. As well as American football champions the New England Patriots, each April one of the world's great annual races, the Boston Marathon is held on Patriots Day.
One of the major attractions of the city is its reputation for its historic walking tours known as the The Freedom Trail. These walks take visitors around approximately 16 historical sites dating back to the colonial revolutionary era in Boston's history. A line of red bricks is easily followed to connect together all the historic sites on the Trail.
Boston offers a wealth of shopping opportunities along the Main Street district, Downtown Crossing, Faneuil Hall Marketplace as well as SoWa Open Market. There are also a wealth of museums and galleries in the city including the Commonwealth Museum, the French Library and Cultural Center, and the Historic New England preservation organisation home to many historic buildings and the famous Otis House Museum.
Other places of interest include the 70 exhibitors found at the New England Aquarium or you could take a stroll through the centre of the planet at the Mapparium and Mary Baker Eddy Library. The Franklin Park zoo was founded over 100 years ago and is presently home to well over 200 species of animals.
The Samuel Adams brewery offers tours and opportunities to taste their products. Hurricane Harbor and Six Flags are family fun orientated theme parks with the best rated rollercoaster anywhere in the world.
